Could it really be spring? This week as Minime and Valentine and I were out for our daily walk, we ventured down Kingston Road to the bridge over the Oconto River and the start of Chute Pond. The chorus of the canadian geese and the ducks was lyrical; and spirited. They were busy pairing off; and honking and quacking amongst themselves watching the last bit of ice melt away. Although it was cloudy and late in the afternoon and the remnants of winter were evident, spring was definitely in the air. Back at the ranch the guinea hens can not stop talking about it; the horses and donkeys take morning and afternoon naps out in the paddock soaking up the warm sun and loving their bug free world that accompanies the late winter sun. Even Stinky the cat took the opportunity to warm herself while keeping an eye on the truck by laying on top of it.
