The north Woods Wisconsin in the fall is my favorite time of year. The weather cools down just a bit, the humidity disappears, the sunny days are usually just right for being outside. The ranch is very busy in the fall, it is a popular time of year for horseback riding and driving. Weekends are pretty packed with reservations, but there are still reservations available mid-weeks for those of you who can get away.
ATV and UTV trails are open until October 31rst in Oconto County, Wisconsin. So you have about 6 weeks left to get in that trip you have been putting off all summer. If you didn’t check my last blog, Mountain is now fortunate to have an ATV rental and repair facility about 3 miles from the ranch www.adventuremotorsportsWI.com . Check out their website for current information. Remember, you do need to schedule a rental in advance, plan ahead.
North Woods Wisconsin in the fall is a beautiful time for a carriage ride. Skip does carriage rides with our big draft Percheron Black Rose Thorn. Again, you do need to plan ahead, and make a reservation for a carriage ride, however, you do not need to be staying at the ranch. Our wagonette holds approximately 6 people. Call soon for reservation and pricing.
Don’t forget that the Camp 5 Museum in Laona, WI is open for their Fall Festival on September 21; and September 28th. On October 5th the museum is open and runs the great train robbery. I am hoping to take my own grandkids on that day. Sounds like fun, and we did not get to see everything on our first trip earlier this year. Check out their website for more details at http://www.camp5museum.org/.
