Children’s Easter Egg Hunt

May 17-19th –  Amoterra’s Wellness Fair

Come join us for a weekend of fantastic mini-samplings of holistic treatments and wellness sessions, mini-classes, and more!  Mini-sample sessions include massage, energy work including Reiki, intuitive readings, spiritual counseling, reflexology, crystal healing, intuitive painting, and more!  In addition, several of our practitioners have also made themselves available for private, individual full sessions at reduced rates.

May 25th – Oconto Falls – Dash O.F. Color

Dash O.F. Color is a non-timed 5K run/walk that is fun for the entire family! People of all ages will enjoy a stroll through town while they get covered with color! Run/Walk will start at 9am at Memorial Field in Oconto Falls (601 E. Central Ave). Contact Stephanie 920-604-4020.

May 26th – Lakewood – McCaslin Lioness Fair

Come and kick off the summer in the Northwood’s starting at 10:00am-3:00pm at the Lakewood Town Hall. There is something for everyone at this fun event. Enjoy a family fun day featuring a variety of vendor booths, independent crafters, a silent auction, raffles, kids’ games, bouncer and great food. Free admission. May 27th – Mountain Memorial Day Parade – The parade starts at the Old Mountain School House and proceeds down Cty Hwy W starting at 12:00pm.


June 6th – Townsend -Old Town Hall Bar & Restaurant Annual Pig Roast

Annual pig roast at Old Town Hall Bar & Restaurant in Townsend.  ATV ride with the Red Arrow Snowmobile ATV Club. Meat raffles throughout the day. For more information call 920-960-6823.


June 15th – Annual Nicolet Walk/Run – Walk around Maiden Lake in the heart of the Nicolet Forest, Mountain, WI.  Proceeds from this event will be donated to our local volunteer emergency services.  Since the event began we have donated over $83,250.  Venue located at 15618 Maiden Lake Road (Nicolet Plastics). June 22nd – Lena – 8th Annual Family Farm Day

This is a FREE event! No admission or parking fees! Bring the whole family! Enjoy baby animals, kid’s train rides, pasture walks, Organic Valley and Organic Prairie Products, and much more! June 28th – Oconto Falls – Summer Sunset Concert Series – Music by the River featuring Subject 2 Change

Pull up your lawn chair and relax by the river as you enjoy your top tunes performed live by area bands. Music will continue until the sun sets over the Oconto River. June 30th – Mountain Fireworks Celebration – The day starts with a craft fair at 10:00am, horseshoes at 10:00am, pool tournament at 11:00am, DJ music from noon to 7:00pm, Just Havin Fun Band from 7:00pm to 11:00pm with fireworks at dusk! Food, fun, refreshments, meat wheel and bouncy houses for the kids! All located at the Bill Lazansky Community Building in Mountain.

July 4th – Fireworks Extravaganza – Fireworks at dusk at the ball park in Townsend!! Parade starting at noon with floats, bands and prizes (Ruth at 715-276-9563) Kid’s games starting at 5:00pm at the ball park for ages 12 and under.  Food and refreshments served on the grounds.  Arts and Crafts at the Townsend Fire Garage from 10:00am-4:00pm. July 11th – Watermelon Eating Contest – Join in some good old-fashioned fun! Kids up to 12 years of age can compete in the watermelon eating contest! Starting at 1:00pm at the Lakewood Memorial Park and Pavilion.  Prizes awarded.  Please contact Dave for more information at 715-276-6678.

July 19th-22nd – The Dastardly Doctor Devereaux – Wabeno Area Players presents “The Dastardly Doctor Devereaux”. For more information go to $15 per ticket at the Wabeno High School, 4325 Branch Street, Wabeno.

July 21st – Doty Fire Department Picnic – Come have some fun with us from 11:00am-8:00pm! Music, food, ice cream, raffles and corn hole tournament.  Proceeds to be used to purchase new equipment for the department. All located at the Doty Fire Department and Town Hall on Hwy T.

July 28th – Annual Wienerfest North – Starting at 11:00am-7:00pm at the Lakewood Pavilion.  All proceeds go to benefiting troops & veterans.  Honor guard presenting colors at noon. August 4th – Lakes Country Arts & Crafts Show – 280 booths occupied by 215 vendors all offering original work starting at 9:00-3:00pm! Free admission to event.  Food and refreshments will be available on grounds at the Lakewood Town Hall and Activity Center in Lakewood. For more information contact 715-276-3956. August 4th – Luau on the Beach – Come join in the fun! Paddle boat races with a twist.  Registration for races begins at 3:00pm, races start at 4:00pm.  2 person teams are $10 per person – 100% payout. Boats are provided.  Karaoke on the beach from 6:00pm-11:00pm with a limbo contest at 9:00pm.  Bring your own lawn chair and have a great time! All at Birch Hill Resort in Townsend. August 4th – Schoolhouse Bar Annual Corn Roast – Come on out for some “recess”. Live music, serving brats, burgers and your favorite cold beverages.  Free corn starting at noon at the Schoolhouse Bar in Mountain.

August 18th – Hidden Bear Trail ATV Club Fundraiser – Held at Animal’s Bear Trail Inn from noon to 6:00 pm.  Animal’s Bear Trail Inn is located at the corner of Hwy 64 & Hwy T in Mountain WI (Township of Doty).  The event will include over 100 – $1.00 meat raffles with 3 prizes for each raffle.  There will also be a Gun Raffle, 50-50 raffles and other raffles throughout the day.  The HBT ATV Club will also be serving great food cooked by our own chef’s Dave & Con-Bon.  There will also be refreshments served outside throughout the event.  At 6:00 pm we will be drawing the winner of our cash raffle.  These cash raffle tickets can be purchased prior to the event at Animal’s Bear Trail Inn, Halfway Bar in Mountain, The School House Bar & Grill in Mountain and at Anderson’s Supper Club in Lakewood or by contacting Jim Wisneski, Secretary HBT ATV club at 920-562-7872 or via email at  Last year’s grand prize for the cash raffle was $4000.00 with a total payout of $12,250.00. August 19th – St. Mary’s of the Lake 22nd Annual Parish Picnic – Start your day with our outdoor polka mass at 10:00am in the grounds behind the church then follow the Marosek Brothers band over to the Lakewood Pavilion for a day of fun! Raffles, games, brats, burgers, nachos, cotton candy, ice cream cones and our famous booyah and Fr. Philip’s Famous Egg Rolls.  Dance to the music, enjoy a bite to eat and enjoy this great day of family fun. Starting at 11:00am-4:00pm at the Lakewood Pavilion.

August 25th – 5th Annual Pork’n Beans Invitational Mini Golf Outing – Registration starting at 11:00am at the Sleepy Hollow Mini Golf Course in Townsend, shot gun start at noon.  Raffles and refreshments. 2 per teams, $25 per team.  Pre-register by calling 715-276-6195.  Dinner, more raffles and fun after golf at My Bar/Birch Hills Resort in Townsend. Fall 2018 – Taste of Oconto County – 26th Annual tasting event starting at 1:00pm-4:00pm at Romy’s Holiday Inn in Kelly Lake. Purchase your ticket at the door and receive a complimentary wine glass! Once inside, try samples from area businesses and restaurants. October 13th – Oktoberfest – Begins at 11 AM with crafters and Beer Garden at the Crooked Lake Community Center, 15445 Cty Hwy W.  There will be minnow races for young and old, free pumpkin decorating for the children, free hay rides through picturesque Crooked Lake and a meat raffle that begins at 1:00.  A delicious dinner which includes, roasted pork, stuffing, sauerkraut, applesauce, German potato Salad, baby red potatoes, marble rye bread and black forest cake will be served from 1 – 5.  Throughout the day, music will be supplied by the local favorite disc jockey, Whitey.  Bring your lederhosen and come join in the fun. November 25th – Lakewood Christmas Tree Lighting – Join us for the lighting ceremony of the Christmas tree in Lakewood.  Takes place on Hwy 32 and St. Mary’s Road in Lakewood. Hot chocolate and caroling!

December 1st – Riverview Christmas Tree Lighting – 30+ lighted trees adopted by local businesses with many of the trees complete with decorations.  Inside the community center the children are welcomed into a winter wonderland called Santa’s Village where they can share their Christmas list with Santa.
