Nicolet Plastics, Inc. and Northwoods Parrot Head Club sponsor the Janet Davis Memorial – 9th Annual Walk/Run June 2nd, 2012. This year’s event begins Saturday at 9:00 AM and will circle the scenic Maiden Lake, approximately 4.37 miles. This is a great way for you to get some exercise and enjoy the beautiful area around Maiden Lake, near Lakewood, Wisconsin. This event is dedicated to the memory of Janet Davis who was the initiator of the walk/run idea in the northwoods, and the energy that drove the event for the first 6 years. Janet lost her battle to cancer last year, this year’s event is a tribute to her. Through the years, the event has raised more than $44,000 for the area emergency response departments.
