Come celebrate the 4th of July in the North Woods of Wisconsin. Summer is always a great time to be up north. We have had some rain, so be prepared for more mosquitos than last year, but we have not had near the rain they are getting south of HWY 29. As always there are some great small town festivities planned to mark the 4th of July holiday. Mountain will have celebrate its 4th of July on June 29th.  There will be softball, horseshoe, and pool tournaments; live music; jumping toys for the kids; food and refreshments and of course fireworks will be at dusk.

The town of Breed always rings in the 4th of July with a fun small town parade, it’s uniqueness is that it goes through the town Breed on County HWY AA at noon, and then folds back on itself and comes back to the community park for food and refreshments. Spur of the Moment Ranch had an entry in the parade a few years ago. It was fun. Getting Ready for Breed Parade

Townsend also observes the 4th of July on the holiday. They have a parade at noon, with floats, bands, and prizes. There will be food and refreshments on the grounds with an Arts and Crafts Fair. Fireworks Extravaganza starts at dusk at the ballpark.
