- •Closed-Toed Shoes Mandatory: Anyone entering barn or paddock areas (parents, grandparents, siblings included) MUST have closed-toed shoes. Flip-flops are strictly forbidden in horse areas.
- •Helmets Required: All riders, including adults and youth, must wear a helmet during any riding or driving activity on ranch grounds.
- •Signed Liability Release: All participants must sign our Release of Liability prior to any equine activity. Minors must have an adult signature.
- •Coggins & Disease Policy: All horses entering ranch grounds must have current negative Coggins. Horses exposed to EHV-1, Strangles, or contagious illness must stay home.
Horse Behavior & Trail Etiquette
- •Walk at All Times: Horses are flight animals. Walk calmly — never run or rush around barn areas or unknown horses.
- •No Hand-Feeding Treats: Hand-feeding is prohibited as it promotes biting; we protect little fingers that look like carrots!
- •No Loose Grazing: Always keep horses on a lead line when snacking; never turn them loose untethered.
- •Nicolet Trail Courtesy: ATV/UTV riders on shared Nicolet trails are instructed to stop or slow down. Wave and thank them for courtesy!
- •Strict No Fireworks Policy: To keep our equine guests calm, fireworks are strictly forbidden anywhere on ranch grounds.
